THE AMERICAN VISIONARIES OF WANÅS FOUNDATION

The American Visionaries of the Wanås Foundation supports the charitable activities of the Wanås Foundation. The Wanås Foundation, founded in 1987, is a leading non-profit foundation focused on site-specific art installations. Wanås is located in southern Sweden and consists of a medieval castle, an organic farm, a sculpture park, and an art gallery. The sculptures and installations in the Park are on view all days of the year. The combination of historical architecture, untouched nature and contemporary art installations offers the visitors a unique experience. The artists who come to Wanås encounter new experiences and possibilities. The Wanås Foundation has a strong environmental commitment.

The Wanås Foundation produces new works by established as well as emerging artists. Of the over 50 permanent installations in the Park at Wanås a majority is created by American artists such as Dan Graham, Ann Hamilton, Jenny Holzer, Maya Lin, Roxy Paine, Martin Puryear, Jason Rhoades, and Robert Wilson.

Contributions to the American Visionaries of the Wanås Foundation will support exhibitions, production, acquisition and conservation of art works by American artists at the Wanås Foundation. Gifts of any size will be deeply appreciated and put to immediate use.

The American Visionaries of the Wanås Foundation is a U.S. tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your gift to the American Visionaries of the Wanås Foundation is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by U.S. law.
