Art 2017

The exhibitions at Wanås celebrate 30 years and expand in time and space. The jubilee marks that time has passed, a movement from then to now. With the 2017 major exhibition SculptureMotion, Wanås Konst focuses on sculpture in motion and sculpture that invites to action. The groundbreaking US choreographer William Forsythe (USA/DE) serves as a starting point for the exhibition that also includes Carolina Falkholt (SE), Henrik Plenge Jakobsen (DK) Sonia Khurana (IN), and Éva Mag (SE). Opening May 7, 2017.

The art gallery opened on April 14 with the exhibition Revisit 1987—a deep dive in photos, films and other archive material, turning back time to the first exhibition, and recreating a monumental work in the park by Eric Lennarth from 1987.

In the fall and winter, new projects open with Jennifer Forsberg (SE), and during the autumn holiday there will be a ceramics workshop—Wanås Konst expands the season and does not close until Christmas.
