Parallellt med The Hearts i parken gjorde Uutinen installationen Carry Me Home i Magasinet.

Marianna Uutinen created two hearts for the exhibition at Wanås in 1994. One was a black heart made from diabase and is no longer in the park. For the other, she chose to work with Vånga granite. It is mined locally, just like diabase, and has a reddish colour. The flat stone for her work is polished to a high gloss and shaped as a heart, placed directly on the ground alongside the outer park path.

To parallel The Hearts in the park, Uutinen created Carry Me Home in the Barn. In the old building, the walls were hung with mirrors covered in pink, sticky silicone, resembling shapeless, flattened bubbles. They were combined with text fragments in the same pink material, inspired by the site and taken from her journal. The installation is typical of her oeuvre, in which she often works with the surface, depth, and structure of painting. Still, she consistently investigates the banal, kitschy, feminine, and erotic in relation to colour, shape, and scale.
